The Los Angeles Temptation (1-1) is the only team in league history to make the playoffs every season since the leagues inception. With Austin (1-2) holding a slim chance of making the playoffs in their first season, they do have the chance to make a big statement and finish the season strong by beating LA, which would result LA nearly being eliminated from the playoffs for the first time in history.
For most of the Austin players this fact about LA’s playoff history was not on their minds, as their only goal is to win Saturday night and finish the regular season 2-2 hoping for a chance to advance to the playoffs, with a wait-and-see situation as the season plays out. With a 2-2 finish Austin would need Dallas to lose their final two remaining games against Seattle and Omaha, and Austin would find themselves in the Western Conference Championship.
The ladies on Austin have not been discussing the playoff odds during practice or training, as it could be a distraction. “Especially for a group of women who will overthink everything” states rookie standout Michelle Marshall.
Michelle Marshall looks back on the Dallas game as a learning tool. “The game against Dallas forced our team to go back to the drawing board in a lot of ways.” Marshall states as she is looking for her team to rebound against Los Angeles.

Eliminating Los Angeles from the postseason would be the highlight of the Acoustic’s first season. An even better scenario would be their 2-2 finish enough to get past Dallas in the West and advance to the postseason.
